2004 - Won SEAB Research Development Grant
Rebecca's creative use of new and unusual materials brings together the worlds of Art and Science, allowing her to inspire the interaction between her work and the user. Her work, primarily, concentrates on her experimentation of precious metal clay, for which she won a grant from the Arts Council of England to research and develop. Precious metal clay has enabled Rebecca to develop specialised techniques and processes to create unique pieces.
2003 - Shortlist, Re-focus Fusion Competition.
2002 - Won residency at South Hill Park
Rebecca won a two-year residency at South Hill Park Arts Centre, where she taught two evenings a week and a number of weekends, as well as
using the time experimenting and developing her own work and working on a variety of design projects.
The teaching allowed her to share her knowledge of silversmithing and
to give away some good trade secrets. It also lead to lecturing in several colleges and universities throughout the United Kingdom.
2002 - Won Bursary, London Arts Board
London Arts Board funded Rebecca for a certified precious metal clay course, enabling her to teach and use precious metal clay in her own work.
